This is another one of my points proven about fantasy world economics and real world economics. When one thing goes up in a mmo/mmorpg everything can go up unlike in the real world where if a business wants to stay in business they would have to lower their prices or people couldn't afford to buy their products.

In a fantasy world nobody is going to go out of business raising their prices to rediculous greedy levels. Nobody can turn them into the better business bureau either.

In a fantasy world those that have will have more and those that have not will either get more or quit. It's pretty simple really.

There are no market controllers by anyone in this game some like to think so but they are delusional. Just like I get spammed that Travelers Gifts sell for 5k or less each and I always hawk and sell them for 7k each and I get it. I love these little tards who think they can control a fantasy game world just because they say so and because they say so that's the way it is. hahahahahahah I laugh in their face then put them on ignore usually as I always get the price I am asking if I am selling something eventually.

See in a fantasy ingame world there's a thing called impatience and there's more of those types in a fantasy game than in the real world. Plenty of gamers willing to pay those high prices and until there aren't then you players with nothing or little will just have to be envyous of us that have. )

So stop whinning about high prices you either pay them or you don't get the product. If you fall into the catagory of have not then I suggest you go out there and get it or quit. Nobody really cares if you don't have the funds or the time in your life to get anything in these games. Stop acting like it's your life for gods sakes or that the gamers in the game owe you something like cheap prices just because you think or say so.

No. Even the SC take about 1.5-2hrs to get all 60gems.

Don't you think Schnellburg time is worth 25e/hour? I do.

1:30-2 hours to get 15 gems? Our guild has been sitting around 1 hour-1:15 to get 15 gems. And yeah roughly 25e an hour isn't to shabby not to mention its fun.

Well I meant to get 15of each. I made the correction in my post. I was figured 45min-1hr for each run and 3 runs for 15 of each.

3 things :
-Lacking of Knowledge , Greed and Stupidity. Mix them and you get results like that when ecto price goes up or down.

Rude and unnecessary but true. Lots o people think that just because they don't have 100k in storage, they deserve something. I have worked for everything I have, and gotten lucky along the way a few times. If you play the game, you will have more then enough cash to buy w/e you want within reason.

I only need 3 more torm weps to fill the hall, bought about 5 ambraces for 48/49e at 4.3k
and bought 3 weps for 43e at 4.7k
Yes it's steep, but I'm a casual farmer that makes about 100k a week and I have fun saving up for a reward, makes me appreciate the result more.

The fact that people keep making rant threads about how expensive armbraces are, just proves that there is a very high demand for this particular product. Therefore the price will not drop. I, myself, dont have to wait long to find buyers when selling at 50e each so yea..

This game has gotten far too expensive and serious. I'm going to go farm Hydras in the desert to remember the good old days :(.

Far too expensive? HAHAHA, only if you have jumped from High-End to trades so large you have to have a 3rd party to complete them. Because of people who advocated threads like this, EVERYTHING is way cheaper than it probably should be. Armbraces used to be extravagant. Now its merely expensive. A couple farming builds and a quick run and in what....2-3 days you make 50e from an armbrace, and its far easier than using SF sins, and you dont have to dedicate as much time. Wheres GW2?

There's a concept in utility theory called discounting that you should look in to. It's easy to manage the difference in impatience.

But you just said this about gold buyers in another thread:

Doesn't that second comment look a little autobiographical when paired with the first one?

Why are armbrace prices high at the moment? I'd guess that there's high demand for them to complete 1500+XX trades, given the boom in miniatures. The armbrace market isn't very liquid, and enough action on the demand side can push prices up in a hurry until the market clears. Figure that things will settle down once sellers start dumping braces as the boom in minis ends. In the meantime, there's good opportunity for the DoA farmers and people that don't mind sitting in district to buy gemsets.

Cept the whole not everyone has a guild/wants to join a guild that farms UWSC or DoA all day long, and doing it solo would take far far far longer than 2-3 days.

T_T; at farmers.

people can get away with being greedy schmucks because there are enough idiots to cater to them.

guild wars economy works just like the real world economy --- only ass backwards.

People that farm high end things like this think that everyone else does/should have a buttload of money to buy what they're selling.

Thing is, the only way to really make that kind of money in a decent period of time is to farm high end things such as this. And then, only way to make money off of those is to sell them to other players.

Meaning, that people wanting the money to buy Armbraces... should go farm Armbraces? Then they don't really need the money for them anymore do they....

In the end, it's people farming a few hours a week making the same amount of money as people who farm several hours every day, and they're making this money OFF of those people.

Basically, GW economy sucks. Anet needs to make set prices on everything, and manage the rise/fall of these on their own based on supply/demand/rarity. Can't be that hard for them to check the in-game records and such to do something like that.
Here's hoping for GW2 :/

I want to know where you are selling gifts for 7k
I have never seen anyone attempt to get more than 5.5k for a gift, and never heard of anyone actually buying any at that rate...

how many hours does it take to sell 1 gift?
